well i am now about a month into the system and I have to be honest I am finding it alot easier than I thought. the 'system' seems to be majorly better than any I have tried or heard of before as it is broken down into easily digestible lessons. Having cheated a bit and look forward into the book I can see how the lessons build up to give you that overall competency. Although I have not practiced as much as I would like and need, I am making steady progress which is enjoyable. my hands are getting stronger and my picking technique is getting better (i think). I am looking forward to more. What is more I am learing to read music again in the process.
One thing I would say to anyone starting out or having problems is to take your time, especially in the beginning as I beleive time taken now will pay huge dividends later.

Well I am a bit new to all of this. I have recently purchased the course as a christmas present and have been working on it for a couple of weeks. I
have just concentrated on the first cd so far.
i am not new to the guitar but like many
others I am sure just played at it and never really took it seriously. I learned tips and
chords from various people and can play a little. I never learned to play with a
plectrum and stuck mainly to open chords. Barr chords seemed more difficult. i am finding the going slow as I don't want to run before I can
walk etc.....is this something others have found too. i am finding the whole plectrum thing weird and as i do the finger exercises i am finding that my little finger has little strenght and my ring finger has a mind of its own., please tell me it gets easier. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED
