Hey garddawg,
Thanx so much for the link to Mac Rebbenack's[a.k.Dr.John] "Blueberrry Hill".It's from an instuctional video he did-that I have on VHS[now if I only had a videocassette player!].He's one of my musical heroes.Also check out James Booker if you haven't already-a CD called New Orleans Piano Wizard-a desert island disc for me-just James and the piano at the N.O.jazz and heritage festival about 30 years ago-astounding.Also,if you want check out my www.myspace.com/willbarrowmusic-I've got a tune on there called "The Hurtin" about Katrina-and it's got some N'awlins influence to be sure.....Peace and Happy Mardi Gras[soon], Will |
