Welcome to my series of little lessons on soloing with color or improvisation. For some reason or another is it a challenge to make up a solo on the spot or do you struggle with improvisation. You don't know what notes to play over what chord. Your getting frustrated with your L&MG course all the theory, the scales, the notes, the chords...while all of these things are a must to learn. I hope you find the time to take a break and join me as we go through a series of lessons that just might help answer some of these questions. I have posted all the files you need to participate along with us. I hope you will enjoy this and post your recordings often (If you can) This video is my test video having problems with camera. It takes a nice video but the software to capture the video was lost so I'm using Pinnicle Studio to change the file from MPEG4 to something I can work with. | Skate8 | 2227 | 5

I heard this on a Christmas CD and felt a strong urge to learn and upload. I got the chords off the internet but gave the song a Jazz feel by using major and minor 7th chords. I used I-Movie 8 on my Mac and attempted a vocal harmony using the commentary function, there is a bit of a delay but I think it sounds ok. | Gareth | 648 | 4

Adjusted the sound towards the first one, played and sang seperately so I could adjust the volume and I guess a little pitch control on my voice lol... I'll bring the videos back soon once I have the right equipment! Thanks for viewing. | Zico | 518 | 9

This is me playing a lesson 18 song before I have even gotten to lesson 18. I have been playing the heck out of this the last few days so I thought I would try and records it to video today, The song is All Of Me. The guitar is my Variax 300 using the Jazzbox setting. I comp in verse 1, play the melody in verse 2, play an original solo in verse 3 and comp on the final verse. | Tom | 1265 | 16

A few weeks back I posted a short version of this song. It was missing the solo because I had not come up with one yet. I finally finished the solo and thought I should post a full version. | Tom | 291 | 7 |

This is me and my Silvertone D09 at my office. I got this guitar specifically to have at work so I could practice before work and at breaks or what have you. Hey, it was only $80.00. In any event, I made this video with my cell phone. I am not that good yet and I still need a lot of work. I did have fun with this one and I am thinking I need a better camera then my cell phone, although it did an OK job. | Eric | 47 | 2

Solo from Live Forever by Oasis (with backing track). This was one of my objectives after starting the LMG course back in late 2007. Still room for improvement (timing, bends, speed). Been practicing on and off (babies permitting!). Now half way through the course! | James | 86 | 2

12 Mar 2010 Whilst familiarising myself with Reaper, this manifested itself, a shimmering effect on the clean neck & middle pickups on my Squire Strat. I like the falling effect the video creates in conjunction with the descending scale variation exercise. -John | John | 141 | 0

Not a video that compares to the current crop of LMG student playing but.. I wanted to get down one of the Session 4 bonus exercises. Using a Digitech RP50 drum pattern 1 on 60bpm.. what you didn't see is the other jamming I did while trying this out when I missed a note and improvised around till the beat came around again. (yes I know the lighting's poor, I’m wide enough in the frame :( ) | Doug | 432 | 5
