Hey, Steve,

I know that you have authored the Blues Guitar course, in addition to the L&M Guitar course.

I was wondering if you had any plans to come out with a classical guitar course. Classical, finger style guitar seems to be where I'd ultimlately like to go with my playing.

In the meantime, I'm wrapping up Session 4, and loving every minute of this. L&M Guitar is a great course, and you're a great instructor. I hope we get to meet face-to-face one of these days!

Please respond. Thanks!

Hey Ross, check out this thread:

Fingerstyle looks to be a popular choice, so maybe the next Spotlight will be on that. However, interest in Classical looks to be considerably lower.

Currently being in Session 10 (Fingerstyle), I'm enjoying it more and more and it looks like fingerstyle is where I would like to focus the majority of my time when I complete the course. It seems like this style is what brings out the best sound of my guitar and I just love it! Very Happy

Fingerstyle gets my vote also. I took that poll that dagbone referenced and voted for jazz thinking it would offer the most theory but after being in session 10 for a few weeks now I think I've found a home. Fingerstyle is just so rewarding.

A finger style course as supplement to the regular course would be of great value.

Thanks for the post.

Well, there are no plans for a Classical guitar course at this point although it might be a possibility in the future. I did take Classical guitar in college and it did prove to be incredibly valuable training, although at the time I didn't appreciate it very much.

Fingerstyle is great. I love it. There are so many types and variations. One of the best resources I have found for fingerstyle guitar is Fingerstyle Guitar Magazine... http://www.bassics.com/index2.html

They have great interviews as well as a CD and written out music to a variety of songs each issue in a variety of styles and skill levels. It is a great magazine.
